He has given personal instruction to a PGA Tour winner, Minnesota PGA Player of the Year, Minnesota PGA Senior Player of the Year, Minnesota State Open Champions, 4 Minnesota PGA Hall-of-Fame Members, State High School Champion and more than 40 PGA club professionals, but, he utilizes his education and experiences teaching great players to specialize in teaching beginners and juniors. Greg, author of “Golf Consistency, Exorcising the demons in your Way” is currently one of only 10 PGA Master Professionals of Player Development in Minnesota. Greg has been listed on many of the country’s top teacher’s lists including: Top 50 Instructor in America by Golf Range Magazine, "Best Teachers in your State" by Golf Digest Magazine and Honorable Mention Top 50 Kids Teacher in America by U.S. Kids Golf. Greg was honored by his peers by being named the 2006 Minnesota PGA Junior Golf Leader, the 2007 Minnesota PGA Teacher of the Year Award, the 2012 Minnesota PGA Professional Development Award in Education, and the 2014 Player Development Award, becoming the ONLY professional in Minnesota history to be the recipient of these 4 awards.
In 2008 he completed studies and testing to become a TPI (Titleist Performance Institute) Certified Golf Fitness Instructor. This specialized golf-specific research allows Greg to provide another avenue for accelerated improvement. By using a series of physical tests (called "screens"), he will be able to pinpoint why you have the same repetitive swing flaws and ball flight and will create a program to match your physique with your technique
He received his greatest honor in 2000 when he was presented the "Distinguished Service Award" from the Minnesota Special Olympics for volunteering as a state golf director, hosting clinics and rules seminars and certification classes for coaches and parents.
Greg has been a featured speaker at 11 Minnesota PGA teaching seminars collectively attended by over 600 PGA Professionals. He has made over 30 live presentations on the Academy Stage at the Minnesota Golf Show and has over 100 instruction articles published in newspapers, magazines and blogs. He has appeared on The Golf Channel as a featured instructor. He hosted a weekly live golf radio program on CBS Sports Radio 105FM in 2013 and 2014.
